Moving back home isn't a problem. Staying unemployed as an able-bodied adult living off your parents is a big problem. Being unable to get a job in your preferred field is not an excuse.

another boomer who simply doesn't understand what the job market and housing market are like right now two college-educated engineers that are unemployed homes cost $500k+ in most medium sized metro areas now living with your parents may have been a sign of laziness in your generation, it is not in my generation. Please be a little more understanding

@taliskeronskye @MelancholyMalt @schuttsm Those companies massively overhired during pandemic years. Pointing at tech companies as any barometer for how companies should be run post-ZIRP and then post-COVID won’t give you a clear picture of anything

@MelancholyMalt @schuttsm Not enough to offset the losses. Huge layoffs - 10k a Microsoft and 30k at Oracle just this weekend. Not to mention Agenda 21 plans for the world's population to decrease by billions by the end of the century.

It's just crazy to me that boomers see two college educated professionals completeling difficult university programs and then living with their parents and their first thought is "they must be lazy. kick them out on the street"

@curraheevet @charlesmurray @MPrincemichigan Exactly. And the people say leave that off then what are going to say you been doing the last 4 years?. And the average time to get a job in America is 8 months and 1000 plus resumes. Even for McDonald’s.

@col_a_buendia I just laugh at them when they ask me for my receipt. I blow right past them. Bitch I just stood in a self checkout line for 15 minutes with third world migrants on food stamps to scan my own items, I’m not stopping for shit.

Self-checkout is among the most flagrant corporate cruelties ever. Your local Walmart fired a few dozen of your neighbors, makes you do their jobs, and hired a single goon to accuse you of shoplifting on the way out. They don't even have shareholders, the Waltons just need more.

@SCHIZO_FREQ I had the opposite problem where my frenulum connected right behind the back of my bottom teeth, it made sticking my tongue out impossible. They moved it to the bottom of my mouth so I can eat pussy now (if it wasn’t beta)

One of the best surgeries I ever got was a frenectomy. It's where you cut that tendon on the bottom of your tongue Apparently it was causing my tongue to fall into my throat and block my breathing while I tried to sleep and this made me wake up all the time I think this is a decently rare issue but if you have sleep issues it's worth looking into. Insanely cheap copay from my dentist, literally under $50 Added bonus effect is that there was clearly some weird tension-releasing effect and after they cut it my skull made all these mega-cracks for like 6 hours Main downside is you will talk like a retard for a week or so

@Muricaenjoyer @Romy_Holland @Duderichy Yeah the PEO model is really good for companies who, for example, have a bunch of 20-something dudes but aren’t at a scale where they can negotiate reasonable insurance rates to reflect that (so 99% of tech companies)

@Romy_Holland @Duderichy I could dive into this in great detail, in my years consulting I learned a LOT about different industries and this one is a sweet spot for me. Long story short, if you have a relatively healthy population in your org, you’re subsidizing pools of companies that don’t. It’s like

i recently learned that big tech companies all self-insure. the health insurance they provide is administered by some big insurance company, but the funding is all thru the tech company. it’s much cheaper this way bc the average google employee has above average health.
