Having wrote the book, then the play about how much @bishopafc helped United after Munich, I was honoured today to receive this lovely momento of the book and that play

@ChelseaFanalyst Great to catch up Kraig. Whilst Osgood was a favourite, I became good friends with Jimmy Greaves via after dinner circuit .What a player and bloke. He scored only goal in this game. Plus to show how old I am, here sat next to foirmer Chelsea man Alex Stepney.

@LancsCCMG Last night only proved that you can say you have won a war, but unless people are really with you that is nonsense.
If, at the top level, Chair, CEO, President don't realise they are running Lancashire County Cricket Club down they should take a hard look in the mirror. RESIGN.

@CreamofMamucium The first of a series of four articles about the different stands at Old Trafford is available today. Starting with The Stretford End.

@WayneSBarton @1968Pixie It had definitely stopped by the 1963-64 season as a United game with Sheff Utd was moved to the Monday after England v Scotland match and more than two players were involved.
That had become the criteria,2 players in an Interbational you could call game off.
English

@1968Pixie Great Q. You know I haven’t thought to look into it too much but I’m sure the change was early 60s. @RoyMBE ?
English

@WayneSBarton I've read many of your books on utd and many note players in 50s and 60s were called up for national teams, but utd always had to play domestic games. Do you know when international games were separated from the domestic calendar?

Calling all United fans please give this account a follow, one of the best of Reds @PeteMolyneux2

@RoyMBE @CornedbeefstRed Why didn't you record it for this weekend's podcast so I wouldn't have to take a headset on holiday?...
English

@CornedbeefstRed Great to catch up with fellow United fan Murph earlier.
We did a trip down memory lane and finished with who next manager should be!
English

@CulkinChris @CornedbeefstRed Hi Chris,if we get in the top Eurooean competition it has to be Carrick, although Murph suggested the one really credible alternative IF he wanted to come to Manchester, Luis Enrique.
English

@KeithMcTosh @ExtremeFootbal4 @TheExtremeMusi1 Thanks Keith, Ronnie Cope a very good centre half who played in the post Munich era.

@newtonH578 Your attention to detail is top class, you deserve all success with this book.

This morning I was passing Home Farm FC and on the radio they were talking about today being #WorldBookDay
It made me think of this lovely book by @RoyMBE about Johnny Carey who played for Home Farm and also captained United for Sir Matt's first FA Cup win & League title.

English

@Cantona_Collars @71Season Matt certainly said that, and at tge time would struggle to find a better all round footballer. Also one of finest men you could meet.
English

@71Season @RoyMBE By all accounts he was an incredibly versatile footballer. He was voted in the football writers team of the year in 5 different seasons in 5 different positions
Roy will correct me but I think Busby said that he was the most complete footballer in the world (along them lines)
