In todays interview, Albert Ojwang’s father disclosed that he has fully depleted the donations he received following his tragedy in June last year. He is now depending on subsistence farming to make ends meet. He further noted that several individuals failed to honour the pledges they made at the time. For instance, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja had promised to secure a job for Albert’s wife, allocate her a unit in one of the affordable housing schemes, and purchase a plot of land for Albert’s parents so they could construct rental houses. According to the elder Ojwang, none of these commitments have been fulfilled to date.
