My heart goes out to the 135 workers and families impacted by the Central Alabama Water layoffs. Behind every headline are real people facing real uncertainty. I appreciate our Mayor stepping up to identify opportunities within the city for those affected. Over the next few days, my team and I will also be working on a plan for how we can support families who have been impacted. When people are hurting, the Church should not just speak. No matter which side of immigration chasm you inhabit, please read this. The inhumane policies and actions of this administration have many faces. Thousands. This is just one. Fonzie should have done some things differently in his young life, but none of them justify this.
