@rozanovista it's not exactly the standard tho, wheares you don't really have that choice at uni, it works like that for everyone, whether you like it or not and having deadlines is not inherently a bad thing

forse sono di parte perché non ho mai avuto un lavoro full-time, però raga lo stress dell'università è non poter mai staccare il pensiero al 100%, ci sarà sempre un esame da dare, una tesi da scrivere ecc... invece lavorando una volta arrivati a casa basta, non ci pensi più

@strynaescape everyone i know from hospitality to corporate either has goals they must reach and/or people reaching out after hours for work related things so it’s not like you say that you can just disconnect. you can also choose not to think about your exam after X amount of studying
