@MarioNawfal Shouldn’t he care more about writing a great story and producing a winning movie then earning an award???

🇺🇸 Elon is going after Christopher Nolan's Odyssey casting. Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy set him off. Rumors that Elliot Page is playing Achilles haven't helped either. But the anger should be directed at the right target. Nolan didn't write the rules. Hollywood's DEI quotas, baked into how films qualify for major awards, came from elsewhere. Filmmakers either play by those rules or watch their projects lose Oscar eligibility before the cameras even roll. Hollywood broke storytelling. Nolan's just navigating the wreckage. The system that punishes faithful adaptations is the actual villain, and it lives way above any one director. @variety

🇺🇸🇨🇳 Elon: "In the absence of breakthrough innovation in the U.S., China will utterly dominate." Breakthrough innovation is the only variable that actually matters in this race. Incremental improvements won't close the gap.

Elon Musk is bashing Christopher Nolan for #TheOdyssey casting, alleging the director cast Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy because he “wants the awards.” In additional X posts, Musk re-tweeted posts that mocked Elliot Page’s masculinity and claimed that Nolan was stomping all over Homer’s grave because of his casting choices. variety.com/2026/film/news…

@jonathanvswan Is this the worst case scenario or the best case from the intel assessment. You do know that they generate “a range of assessments from best case to worst case,” don’t you? What is the best case assessment? Oh, they didn’t leak that one… I wonder why???

New: Classified military intelligence assessments from early this month show Iran has regained access to most of its missile sites, launchers and underground facilities. Including: U.S. intel assesses Iran has restored operational access to 30 of the 33 missile sites it maintains along the Strait of Hormuz, and ~90% of Iran's underground missile sites are "partially or fully operational." w @Adamentous @maggieNYT nytimes.com/2026/05/12/us/…

You are witnessing the beginning of a new Era. Odyssey will destroy one of the best directors and Homer will murder Hollywood. AI cinematography will be born and it’s their fault.

Christopher Nolan explains why he cast Travis Scott in ‘THE ODYSSEY’: “I cast him because I wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap.” (Source: time.com/article/2026/0…)

Advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Akbar Velayati: Trump, "Do not assume you can exploit the current calm in Iran and march victoriously to Beijing." One reason many Catholics no longer go to confession frequently is that the sacrament subtly drifted from “confession and absolution” toward “spiritual counseling.” Most Catholics are willing to accuse themselves of sins briefly and regularly. Fewer are willing to enter into an extended personal conversation every few weeks. The traditional confessional, the screen, brevity, clarity, and sacramental reserve all lowered the barrier to grace. The sacrament felt objective, medicinal, and accessible rather than emotionally burdensome. Confession is not primarily therapy or spiritual direction. It is sacramental mercy.

We are heading into a global recession because Iran is holding the Strait hostage. If we just leave, that doesn’t alleviate the situation. That option isn’t easy. Again, “easy” options are over. They were over when we decided to go. Now it’s all hard.

According to the Washington Post, citing people with knowledge on the matter, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) delivered a confidential assessment to administration officials with the key judgment that Iran can weather the U.S. blockade for at least three to four months. Additionally, the assessment reportedly says that Iran still retains significant ballistic missile stockpiles despite U.S.-Israeli strikes on underground facilities. Per the report, and tracking with past reporting on the subject, “75 percent of its prewar inventories of mobile launchers and about 70 percent of its prewar stockpiles of missiles.”

NBC is the sole outlet reporting based on two anonymous sources with no corroborated reporting from other news outlets. Also, when reached for comment Saudi Arabia would not confirm reporting. Other news agencies run with the initial NBC reporting making it seem as though it’s been broadly validated. Classic narrative driving by mainstream media that Trump is out of control.
