Went out to dinner with a rich billionaire this evening

And then I ordered a veggie lasagna once I got hungry
At the end, the waiter brought our bill

The billionaire explained that he could leave a 10% tip now, or give the waiter a 10% royalty of all oil deposits extracted from Djibouti over the next 50 years
The waiter’s eyes lit up
He would be a fool to not take the oil royalty
As we left the restaurant, I asked the billionaire why he offered such a generous deal
He began to laugh
“Listen, Chase. Here’s what that waiter didn’t understand: Djibouti has no oil deposits.”
Then we both laughed as we rode off in our expensive vehicle
