In my #microbit games players often score points when a conductive ball closes a circuit between P1 and GND. If it stays closed more than 1 second, you can't use On pin pressed block. I like this new purple block made by the Scratcher njdavison. You too? makecode.microbit.org/_1mw08mLejM3J

@PinkyPepper_ @Mittensbrother Thanks! I saw that example in your blog, but indeed the while/do adds complexity. We'll try both :)

@rrrrrok_ @Mittensbrother I am happy you can use my extension. I don't know why the MakeCode team decided not to make a generic wait until block like Scratch has. However, you can use the 'while do' option like shown beneath if you need another condition, although this is less easy to understand for kids.

@PinkyPepper_ @Mittensbrother This is great, just found a need for this when coding with my 9yo! Would be nice to have an option to use a generic condition in the block to make it more flexible to use with other inputs. Thanks a lot!

A kind Scratcher made three more "wait until" costum blocks for MakeCode today and I wrote a blog about it: tinker-club.blogspot.com/p/makecode-ext… If you have any other suggestions about how to use these blocks or suggestions for more blocks, please let me know.

A very nice new feature that greatly simplifies creation and maintenance of #workflows! All the standard #reproducibility features included (updating, re-executing, inspecting etc.) and even converting to #CommonWL or Toil workflows to run on different backends. 🤩 #openscience
