Writing is the equivalent of taking the crumpled paper ball of thoughts stored in your brain and slowly flattening it out so you can read what it says. It turns inaudible whispers into readable lines you can think about deeply, over time, and refer back to when in need.

@ThomasMCornwall I’ve also seen this section used to show parts of outfits with the title “Complete the outfit”. While that may be better suited as an upsell upon adding to cart/before checkout, it is also a hint that the products listed are related.

@ThomasMCornwall If, for ex., you are selling jackets, same length, similar style — show the other styles in that section. This is the equivalent of a store rep saying “oh, we don’t have the one from the store front in your size, but I think you’ll like some of these. We have them in M and L”

Question for the ecom guys: Is it a good idea to include a "you may also like" section on your product pages? (Generally speaking. "Test it" is not helpful) My direct response background wants to throw up when I see them... but they're so common I'd be silly not to ask.

You know that iconic scene, at the end of The Matrix when Neo suddenly “gets it” and picks bullets out of thin air as if they are cute and curious little things? Been thinking: what’s the equivalent of “seeing the matrix” for product leaders? 10+ Realizations that come to mind:

People are massively underestimating the power of AI with supersized attention spans. What could you ask an AI that intimately knows and understands what every individual has been saying on Twitter over the last few years?

Software companies aren't made of code. They're made of processes that produce and maintain code. And the foremost component of these processes are people. The code is just a by-product. More of a liability than an asset.

@DesignJokes just checked @typogramco 's landing page. It looks like a product that could really solve a pain point for its users. Its benefits weren't obvious from the start. Hopefully this change could reduce your homepage bounce rate:
