@statto Best bet is to wing it and just try speaking back even if you throw in a few english words here and there. My experience at least is thats its appreciated. Ultimately one of the best ways to learn is by failing...many many times 😁👍

So in personal news…we moved to Berlin!
Looking forward to finding more establishing-shot-worthy bridges and learning a bit more about this amazing city…and hopefully a bit of German!

@plasmaStu @jameschappell95 They also have a tradition of nailing a copy to the wall. I think we should also consider this. Nothing would relieve post viva stress like handing the newly christened doctor a hammer and nail 🤣

@jameschappell95 Excellent- in Sweden (and elsewhere I’m sure) they have a tradition of sending the PhD to loads of people from the field, a great idea I think!

@lentilwallop @VicenteValenz Yes, the x-rays produced are coherent, with a similar spectrum and peak brightness to that of 3rd Gen. Light sources. Currently the major limiting factor for competing with conventional sources would be repetition rate, and so the average flux of x-rays. Stability needs work too
