@SteveLovesAmmo My great-uncle was a tail gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress, The Bad Penny. Made it through the required 30 missions and became a member of the Lucky Bastards Club. Was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for meritorious achievement under hazardous conditions. Hard to imagine.

“I’ll kill you in the name of Allah.” This incident caught on camera. A man on his knees in the driveway of a family, seemingly praying, threatens to kill a man and he is armed with a 4 inch knife.. stating he wants to kill the home owner in the name of Allah. The home owner’s daughter just came home so her dad went outside to warn her to drive away as he was watching this man on his security camera. Watch it unfold here:

@yournawehere @BadgedPatriot Oh I’m well aware of the “Vial of Life”. I’ve been a first responder since the 80s. There was no “we” usually when I arrived on scene. I stand by “if they called, they wanted assistance”. If someone was there I’d ask.

Not sure where you work, but if it was a cardiac arrest, and the age range was there, one thing we would ask is if there was a DNR or POST. If they said yes, and didn't know where it was, either we'd ask them to check the fridge or one of us would go look on the fridge.
Been like that for over a decade now.

If you have a DNR order (Do not resuscitate) please make sure it is discoverable so if you aren't verbal or conscious your wishes will be honored. If not, life saving procedures will be performed. I just caught hell for that exact scenario from a family member. I wear a lot of hats but I'm not a mind reader & I have a responsibility to save your life unless I have legal authority not to which releases me of liability.👮♂️🚔

Canceled my blue check, it was worthless. My posts were seen by like 0.5% of my followers. There was no tangible benefit. What point is there to be able to write a long post if it isn't even seen? What a scam.

TOILET UPDATE: It is now available again. Following ~2 hours of pointing the vent at the sun, whatever was blocking it appears to have melted, and a waste dump was conducted. The crew can now dump the contents of their Contingency Urinals as required.

@BadgedPatriot Absolutely. Before I retired a new Chief wanted us to switch to outer carriers. I hated it. I told him I’ve trained for years with everything in the same place on my belt. Muscle memory will let me find what I need. Being the pain in the ass I was, I kept my belt. 😂

x.com/officer_Lew/st… This is an older video and one of the reasons why I don't wear an outer vest. I wear an inner vest & a gun belt with all my equipment on it. As u can see, in a fight the vest can come loose. If u fall forward u are laying on your equipment. It's not a pretty sight in defensive tactics training. The vest looks good, but looking good doesn't keep me alive. I'll stay old school.👮♂️🚔

20+ yrs of 6P-6A shifts as LEO will also do this. Even after retirement. I recently started taking magnesium and have slept better in the past week than I have in YEARS. This also may be a benefit. 👇🏻

I suffer from insomnia. It started after I separated from the Army in 2018. A couple nights a month, sleep is just nonexistent to me. Its wild and annoying AF. After years of suffering and trying every thing out there to help, Alex (my fiance) bought some of this a few months ago and HOLY. CRAP. This stuff is outstanding and essentially fixed my insomnia overnight (pun intended). Im not saying this will work for everyone but I would highly recommend people try this supplement if they struggle with sleep. Sold at Target, Walmart, and Amazon. If you, or someone you care about suffers from insomnia, share this with them because it might just help them.

@JesterJum But, I also believe that saying it’s going to be a slow, quiet, easy (whatever) shift should get you locked in the closet for that entire shift. With someone’s sole worn boots that they walked around in 115°F heat all day wet.

Why do people tend to go crazy right around and during a full moon?
Alex is working tonight and tomorrow is a full moon and she said its insane right now.
Is there any science behind it? Or just Healthcare voodoo stuff? Cause I know its a real thing.

@rspd505 @JesterJum My husband was a jailer when we met and then a fuel hauler and, eventually a public safety officer on a university. I always assumed he’d be at minimum two hours late on a full moon.
