I am very interested to know what alternative terms are being used instead of “disadvantaged” plz🙏🏾
I do not like this term at all. It is often used as a term of deficit rather than describing those as disadvantaged by the system -you know not the ‘normative’ groups.

Cultural competency training can’t provide the experience of feeling confident that a healthcare professional can, if required, (correctly) recognise and address one’s cultural background. Homogenous Wellbeing services are not transcendent to this but rather, fails its students.

Of course, not least and sickeningly so, those academics who benefitted by willingly rejecting Williams’s thesis, perpetuating the idea that Britain, European economic growth had nothing to do with slavery & colonialism

I reckon asking candidates underrepresented in your workforce — what their strengths are/why they are a ‘good fit’ — disadvantages them, as frankly the ones overrepresented have had the privilege of not dealing with an impostor syndrome; discussions at work!
