This is the other side of the infamous divorce drama: the parents of Maj Agnihotri. What appears to be a routine matter—minor ego clashes between husband and wife leading to irrevocable differences—often turns into a destructive conflict. Formerly united, these parents now act as unintentional agitators, fueling the fire rather than extinguishing it. This scenario describes 90% of such cases. The inevitable result is that the child is left without a father, while the parents eventually abandon each other. Living a life in solitude is detrimental, and even if the woman remarries, her new husband may not accept the child. From the husband's perspective, peace is unlikely; he seldom gets to see his son, as custody typically remains with the mother. Unfortunately, in India, there exists a vicious cycle that profits from this misery. Based on personal experience, I assert that women suffer the most in such divorce cases. Remarriage becomes increasingly difficult due to the child’s presence. My submission is : we must cease celebrating such senseless conflicts, as they ultimately lead to regret.
