Still developing an official stance on this as yes, there has been an explosion in AI-aided SDR software development recently. But at the moment as long as it's a working and useful tool, I don't want to gatekeep it just because claude was used. Will think about adding a disclaimer for obviously AI software though.

It seems almost all new SDR related software nowadays is unoriginal AI slop (seriously look at that readme...). Promoting garbage like that, especially with no disclaimer, is honestly insulting to the other hundreds of FOSS SDR developers who put actual effort into their work.

@NeilMcCauley27 The post explains more, but basically V4L 'lite' is coming soon, and V5 next year. For a beginner, the V3 makes the most sense, because the V4L will require driver updates and not all software will be initially supported as we have to wait for devs to catch up with support.

@rtlsdrblog Thanks. What are the new features or products coming up ? If one product is retired, should we expect a new one coming up, maybe ? For newbies like me, should we buy V3 or something new is in the assembly line?

@NeilMcCauley27 The R828D tuner chip used in the Blog V4 has not been in production for many years, and the product relied on a large stockpile. The stockpile is now exhausted. The Blog V3 uses the R860 tuner, which is still in production.
