@Avgeek_Jan @Delta I had thought for a while that AA had the race to bottom in the bag, but looks as if DL is determined to give them some competition.

🔴 @Delta is cutting in-flight service on 450 daily flights starting May 19, and frequent flyers are NOT happy about it. From that date, any flight under 350 miles in economy will get zero service. Nothing. Not even water. That covers a lot of routes people fly every single week for work. The old system had an express service on flights of 251 to 499 miles, which was coffee, tea, or water. That is now gone entirely for shorter hops. Now, to be fair, there is a flip side. Around 600 daily flights in the 350 to 499 mile range are actually getting upgraded from express to full beverage service. So more people overall will get a proper drink cart. First class keeps full service across the board regardless of distance. #Delta #DeltaAirLines #Aviation

@rtmoulton @JonahDispatch Either you don't understand what capitalism is or you support a few billionaires owning everything. Either way if you read some more books you'd be better equipped to defend your idiotic position

@BeatInstinct @JonahDispatch I certainly don’t disagree that there is endless room for improvement & justifiable reasons for making improvements I just disagree that there is a model or system that even given all of its defects, has been proven historically even partially better than capitalism.

@rtmoulton @JonahDispatch Unlimited growth is the philosophy of the cancer cell. capitalism is only sustained by exploitation and devouring resources. We are not leading the world in any meaningful metric other than the ability to kill people

@rtmoulton @JonahDispatch Utter BS. You just went from "name a single good thing that socialism has done" to "we've never had a fully socialist system" Taxing the rich, workers rights, national parks, clean water are policies that socialists fought for that improve life. America is capitalist and failing

There is no question that distinct communal policies within the capitalist system have benefited the collective good, however, there has yet to be an example of a fully socialist democratic system successfully instituted That is not ignorance, that is fact. What this guy & so many others sre advocating for is not distinct policies, they want to change then entire system to a repeatedly failed model

@rtmoulton @JonahDispatch You just proved how ignorant you are. Every decent thing about modern working conditions comes from socialist movements. And on a larger scale look at the New Deal or the work of LaGuardia to see the progressive politic at work. Socialist policies built a thriving middle class

@PitigoiD @BeatInstinct @JonahDispatch Agree… kids should be taught how to think. Instead, they are taught to seek reward in the form of grades for conforming to the indoctrination

@rtmoulton @BeatInstinct @JonahDispatch . . . Your reasoning only works if kids are taught to memorize. Instead the goal should be to teach kids how to think, how to ask questions and how to question authority. I'm not american so i don't know what your textbooks look like but maybe you should have a gov dep....

@rtmoulton @BeatInstinct @JonahDispatch Also no. Books don't indoctrinate people. What happens is.... you read a book, then you find people that agree with the book and they indoctrinate you. Books are tools. They can't manipulate you unless you want to be manipulated.

It is not debatable that books indoctrinate people. This answer is not less reading, in fact it is the opposite. People should read more, the same topics from all different perspectives. The indoctrination stems from repetition & convenience. The repetition begins when kids start school, hence the political fight for control over school boards. The convenience part comes from the fact that it very inconvenient & time consuming to read additional information so they go with what they read/were taught throughout their education.

@BeatInstinct @JonahDispatch Seriously? Name a single instance in history where Democratic Socialism has ever made the country better than when it was imposed. You cannot. Not a single solitary time in the entire HISTORY of civilization.

@JustLorimer @JonahDispatch Come on now… That is as misleading in terminology as it is in meaning. It was invented in an attempt to inaccurately generalize history & theology for the last 300+ years It is about as academically accepted as Atlantis & similar to the climate change deniers rational

Starbucks was started in 1971 in downtown Seattle. Howard Schultz bought it in 1987 and took it public in 1992 with 140 stores, then grew it to 677 locations by 1995. Today it has 38,000 stores across more than 80 countries. Katie Wilson was just elected Seattle Mayor on November 13, 2025 when she called for a boycott of Starbucks. Starbucks officially announced their new headquarters with 2,000 employees in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 21, 2026. Another example of how democrat socialist policies actually work out.
