@NihalNavath Yep - it's for people who are used to PS (and its hotkeys) and need to load/save .psd formats with things like layer styles and true text objects, both of which GIMP doesn't do

@rtsoft Looks really cool! How is this different from Gimp? That its more suited for people already familar with PS?

@gabahulk I think for now a global standard is not realistic (support+download bandwidth+antifraud ARE platform dependent) Most likely path to success: platforms like Steam, Epic, etc. being pressured (public + legal) to individually add consumer-friendly digital features over time

@rtsoft Why the Blockchain hate Seth? Seems like a great usecase to be honest, else you will always be dependent on a platform

When physical dies, how am I supposed to (legally) lend/sell/preserve my games?! Any ideas on a system that publishers/stores might actually go for that work for digital? I'm thinking something like this would be a big step up from where (most) digital is now:

@ja777on Thanks, appreciate the suggestions! We need smart objects for sure. Warp transform, hrm, will have to play with it a bit, have actually never used it in PS

@rtsoft This is the closest thing to Photoshop on Linux. Fantastic work-keep it up! I noticed that it doesn't have Smart Objects or the Warp Transform feature yet. With those features, this would become a seriously powerful tool. 🙂 Are these features planned for future releases?

@rtsoft Switch 2 lets you lend your digital games out. The whole "Virtual Card" thing seems to work really quite well. No reselling, mind. Also, you can backup your games onto SD cards. Not sure how well it handles swapping those cards in and out, though, I haven't tried it.

The one positive for me of PlayStation ditching discs is that I’ve had to balance my interest in playing new AAA releases with my hope of getting through more of my backlog (7000+ physical game collection spanning generations, plus hundreds digital). It’ll be backlog or bust now.

UGTBrowser 2.2 released on the chrome web store today: chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ugtbrow… This is an open source browser extension for translation/language study I wrote for myself, but figured it might be useful for others (warning: requires an OpenAI API key)

Good software devs release when "it's done". Me? I release when "I'm done" as in, can't stomach working on it any longer

Released V2.37 of Toolfish with yet another audio feature - it can adjust the volume of just the app in focus. (hotkey to adjust Windows mixing) Makes it easier to watch youtube during the boring parts of games. github.com/SethRobinson/T…

@TrapTrapTrap14 I really didn't. Had the light on when removing them, so if the blue led turned off, I'd have just soldered that resistor back on and tried another!

Tech tip (?): The dog-walking lights I ordered from AliExpress came the wrong color (I ordered blue) and too bright. Check out this easy hack to sort of fix 'em that even a dumbass like me can do:

Got a new printer - it prints on anything, even curved potato chips! So far I've been using it as a $2100 labeler, its camera positioning system makes it dang easy (and addictive) to use. Hrm, what else can I print on... (Credit: some pics are from @Yumcans's game Popslinger)
