Today I have been offered a Band 5 rotational adult acute hospital job and I've accepted it! I'll be working with adult inpatients with swallowing and communication needs throughout the hospital. I'm so excited to have secured my dream NQP job to start in the summer! #SLT2B

@SLTJoe I defo used to have this Joe! My job before joining our masters involved a lot of calls and I remember I’d take calls in private rooms when I first started so that nobody else could hear me 😂 it definitely got better with time and practice though!

Is it just me who gets phone anxiety really badly? I avoid it at all costs and it is one of the things I’m most dreading about SLT when I’ll regularly have to be making phone calls 😂

Is anyone else finding the reporting around Bruce Willis frustrating? I keep seeing it reported that he was diagnosed with "aphasia" last year and that this has developed into frontotemporal dementia. This is not how Aphasia works. 🧵

@rubyge_ @RCSLT @RCSLTLearn @_CitySLT_ @CityLCS so don’t generally struggle to recruit - this does mean however that we don’t tend to offer B5s posts that are conditional on passing and HCPC reg coming through, as we don’t need to and usually have applicants who can start sooner.
