@Marc29124 @JohnMcKissock @RichardSha91324 @IndieAnalogue Gaelic is my native language along with my parents and theirs etc. My parents weren’t allowed to speak Gaelic in school-only English was permitted. So shocking it was still happening well into the 20th century.

The reaction to my reasonable suggestion that all Scots children should learn their own history and native language has been overwhelmingly positive. Plenty of people, though, postulate that this is a preposterous proposition. Isn't this standard practice in normal countries?

🚨 Astonishingly, 1 in 3 school pupils in Glasgow do not speak English as a first language. Read that again. The SNP has turned Glasgow into Britain’s asylum capital. They changed the rules in 2012 to *guarantee* housing to anyone, so a healthy young male from Iran has the same right to housing as a vulnerable local family. Last year alone over 1000 migrants who had been granted leave to remain elsewhere in the UK travelled to Glasgow to declare themselves homeless. Most are from Sudan, Yemen and Iran. That’s set to double this year. That’s why Reform is surging in Scotland. We will stop this madness.

Uk govt grants licenses, these are bought by developers (usually overseas based) developers then build and sell to operators, again usually overseas owned and uk govt gets the tax take. We own f.all. The same as oil back in the day. SAME MISTAKE & Utterly ludicrous
