Two women have chained themselves to the whaling boats in Reykjavík Harbour after Iceland lifted the whaling ban, approving more killing of fin whales 😟 Whaling must remain a bad stain of the past…. UPDATE: 2nd day of protest. Both women remain chained into the crow’s nests of whaling boats, Hvalur 8 and Hvalur 9, in Reykjavík Harbour to oppose the lifting of the whaling ban and prevent the vessels from leaving to hunt down and kill fin whales. Updates to follow.

Iceland: The protestors have now climbed down from the top of the whaling ships and reportedly arrested. Vessels have now left the harbour to hunt down and kill dozens of fin whales - sickening. We support the actions of these brave women who took a risk to make a difference.
