Day 3 of the Sydney Test is always an emotional day. The ground turns pink in an annual cricket tradition dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer treatment. We received this moving email from one listener.

Our cast iron urns in Mesnes Park, Wigan are replicas of the delicate terracotta originals, recreated from fragments found in storage. Currently looking good with a seasonal floral display!

We were delighted to see that Hull has been rated as one of the top destinations to visit for 2026 - we would like to think that our work there has helped - and there's still more to come!!

She was on her own. No backup. No time to think. 💙 When PC Rhona Adams arrived at a McDonald’s in Bradford last June, she was single-crewed and expecting to check on a vulnerable woman in distress. What she walked into was something else entirely. The woman had locked herself in the disabled toilet, poured oil over herself, and set herself on fire. Without hesitation, PC Adams opened the door, was met with flames and screaming, and ran in anyway. She used her bare hands to smother the fire, held the woman tightly to stop her from moving, and directed restaurant staff to bring her a fire extinguisher, which she used to put out the rest of the blaze. She then provided first aid and kept the woman calm until paramedics arrived. Thanks to her actions, the woman survived with only first and second degree burns. Rhona’s just been awarded the King’s Commendation for Bravery, and she was a nominee at this year’s National Police Bravery Awards. This is the reality of frontline policing. You’re alone. You don’t always get a plan. But when the public need you, you go. How many people do you know who would’ve done the same?

With Handsworth being featured in the news, we were reminded of our work there - reproducing some historic gates and supplying some of our Bassenthwaite benches that matched the original installations.

After being unable to work for several months due to my bad mental health, today I had my first day back, and it went really well!! 😃

Just sorting some files, spotted some of our restoration projects - Wigan, Hawick, Hexham and Darlington. If you have or know of a #bandstand that needs bringing back to useful life, then you know who to call! Check our website for lots more examples!!
