Alright, #menswear denizens. I’m looking for recommendations on airy, gauzy, comfortable linen trousers I can wear around the house or casually in humid, tropical locales. Ideally drawstring and billowy without being #trendy baggy. Anyone?

IMO, this sort of detail should be kept to overcoats, where you might actually need the extra movement when you layer the coat over a suit jacket or sport coat. The other version can look a bit antiquated to me unless you're a British gentleman on a Scottish estate.

The detail you're talking about is called an action back. Historically, it was used on sporting clothes, especially things like Thornproof tweeds you might wear while hunting in the countryside. But today, it's a bit antiquated. 🧵

A lot of what I've read about sweater quality here conflates "characteristic" with "quality." For example, dimensions such as thickness are mistaken for quality. This is like saying green apples are inherently better than red apples (or vice versa, if you prefer). 🧵
