@penuelist_ Preach👏🏻people are getting so caught up they lose perspective. They’re still kids - shouldnt have to deal with societal pressure at this stage.
Grey College vs Nudgee College
St John's College Easter Rugby Festival
03 April 2026
I'm saddened by how many grown men are attacking young boys from Grey College (Bloemfontein) for losing 26 - 29 against one of the best rugby schools in the world, Nudgee College.
Yes, Grey played 2 other tough games within the last 6 days (at Noord-Suid in Pretoria), and the boys are quite tired & sore... but they played extremely well, attacked with guts. & put in some monster tackles.
The game was even up til the last 30 seconds with the maverick Nudgee 10 slotting in a dropkick, to sink the Grey hearts. They deserved the win.
But watching grown men on social media saying Grey College has fallen off, and essentially demoralizing young boys who still have to navigate puberty, matric, schoolwork, girls, & being children... is disgusting.
Yes, we're passionate about rugby, but not at the expense of killing young boys' spirits. As adults, we all need to do better, protect our kids & inspire them, even in losses.
With that said, Grey College has been a top 3 to top 5 school in the last 3 years... they haven't been the number one school in SA. So seeing them lose by 3 points to the top rugby school in the world last year, is crazy good! That means the Paarl schools, Paul Roos & a few other schools could potentially beat this amazing Nudgee team.
Let's do better. Let's protect our boys. To Alexi Tyropolis, O'Ryan Klein, Lamla Mgedezi and the rest of the team & staff... we're so proud of you. Brilliant game. Amazing guts & grit. Unlucky right at the end. Please drown out the rubbish noise of miserable people on social media... you guys are superstars & most of the losers commenting are not even half the men you guys are.
Viva La Grey ❤️ Suid-Afrikaanse Rugby Bo! ✊🏽
@xola_khalipha@Oom_Rugby Exactly this. His biggest asset is his ball carrying ability. One of his biggest issues is how often he loses ball in contact. It negates his biggest asset. Rest of his game doesnt save him unfortunately.
@Oom_Rugby He loses the ball in contact with regularity. He's a bit of a penalty merchant and his EQ is questionable, in fact, he's overly emotional. I genuinely thought he'd give Jasper a decent challenge for the 8 jumper once Duane had retired.
I am a big Evan Roos fan… pace , power, explosiveness . kind of hybrid of the tornado Schalk Burger , bit of Pierre Spies, and some of Ardie Savea in contact.
but in Durban gave away 3 silly penalties against Sharks at important times, and that is just a killer 😩 he is not always like that, and have certainly improved , but sometimes do question his accuracy and game discipline.
i am not sure there many players that can equal his metrics and potential.. so for the national cause I really hope he can develop his focus and rugby IQ 💪🏻
@PlanetRugby Tbf, he isnt complaining about the Boks. He is just saying to All Blacks shouldnt try and do what Rassie does cause they are different to us.

@danielgallan 👨💻 on the game that rugby can't take its eyes off, for so many reasons #quilternsrugbypass.com/news/the-irela…
There’s nothing more important than knowing your strengths and weaknesses and being able to use your strengths to overcome your weaknesses. The Springboks have been doing exactly that for the last 10 years, winning two Rugby World Cups and comfortably establishing themselves as the best team in the world right now. You’ve got to admire them.
I even saw Damian Willemse in tears, unable to bear watching the final 10 minutes of the game. That’s the kind of spirit a nation needs. And this is coming from an All Blacks fan who loves the banter but I can’t deny that I truly admire this Springboks team. Well played Bokke 👏

@Oom_Rugby Your description of play is one of the few reasons i’m still on X/twitter - PSdT like a darted giraffe😂😂😂 I’ll never look at him another way now👏🏻👌🏻
a sequence that capsulate the Sacha effek...
Argentina maul over the Bok try line and ref blow the whistle with 39:56 on the clock
after players get up and sort themself out and TMO look at angles to confer on penalty try, TV clock is reading 41:36
PSdT and Damian looking at the stadium clock and can see it is still on 39:56.
Sacha also notice
ref call "half time"
@AnalystGus I may be alone, but Thomas has always for the hype around him never properly impressed on international stage. Cant ever remember our scrum being dominant with him on🤷🏼♂️
Three "50/50" players I feel earned their place in the Springbok 23 vs the All Blacks 🇿🇦🇳🇿
Thomas du Toit (3 or 18)
Ruan Nortje (5 or 20)
Aphelele Fassi (15)
@MrBlack_Rugby@ChalynRugby True story, you guys actually did pretty well considering the massive shoes they left to fill. Remains to be seen if we can do the same.
South Africa got the job done, as champion teams so often do. But you can’t ignore the reality. They struggled. This golden generation of Springboks should have mauled a young Wallabies side, yet that wasn’t the case. Their world-class locks were unlocked, their speedsters were outpaced, and their vaunted forwards were bullied by this fresh Australian pack. For the reigning champions, there’s plenty to think about especially with all of it happening in their own backyard. A series Australia can be proud of. Young, fearless, and pushing the world champions to the edge.
