@jurgen_nauditt NATO expansion, Rejecting Istanbul talks, and refusing to request talks now are the real causes of this war and its continuation.

How many more mistakes will the West make - at the expense of the Ukrainians?

The US policy of not allowing Ukraine to fire into Russia is costing thousands of lives.

Can the Russians open a third front?
The recent Russian strategy of forcing the Armed Forces of Ukraine to withdraw troops from Donbass to stabilize the Kharkov region aimed to stretch the Ukrainian contingent, as I wrote days ago.
But what if the Russians open a third front in the north?
Some time ago, information began to leak into the media that Belarus, together with Russia, was working to expand the logistical capabilities of its railway.
The officially stated goal of this modernization is to prepare the transport infrastructure of the Union State for an increase in traffic within the new corridor to the ports of St. Petersburg.
The Russians are investing 1.5 billion euros in this Belarus railway corridor.
Coincidentally, this happens exactly at the moment when both countries confirmed joint military exercises for the first months of 2025, including the simulation of tactical nuclear weapons usage.
The Russians are probably planning to redeploy their military equipment to Belarus again. Belarusian Railways is already preparing to receive the trains, according to the Community of Belarusian Railroaders.
The railroaders clarify that Belarus is taking measures to ensure the secrecy of these equipment transports.
Considering the latest warning from NATO members, the Russians might be considering the possibility of a large group of the Russian Armed Forces entering Western Ukraine, cutting it off from Poland and eliminating an important hub for supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
There are just some details to consider. The region is heavily mined and fortified, with around 100,000 Ukrainian troops protecting this border, while on the Belarusian side, there is a force of 40,000 men.
This is clearly a hard task and possibly these troops can be used for intimidation and tactical proposes, specially to keep the Ukrainian force stationed and avoid them to support a possible front in Sumy.
Do the Russians still have extra equipment for a new front?
Yes, but I doubt if it would be enough to fight the Ukrainian contingent stationed there.
In particular, the new mobile tactics are allowing them to preserve heavy equipment. My estimate is that Russia is producing 1,300 to 1,500 new vehicles from Jun to Dec and able to repair and return another 500 to 800 units.
The railway is an important project between both countries, but during a war, the priorities are always for military use.
The shipment of ammunition from Belarusian storage arsenals to Russia is ongoing and averages between 5,000 and 10,000 tons per month.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has proclaimed the end of the Western world.
Orban said: "This year we will be able to end the era of Western civilization, to put an end to the world order based on liberal hegemony. The progressive liberal world spirit has failed. It brought wars, chaos and disorder, economic collapse, and confusion to the world. Eventually people got tired of the representatives of this liberal spirit wherever they appeared. They are incapable of being leaders, they are not fit for the task, they are riddled with errors and ultimately rush to their own destruction."

In 2020, two dozen of major Ukrainian NGOs, all but one of which were funded by Western governments & foundations, stated that contrary to election promises by Zelensky any talks with Donbas separatists to implement Minsk agreements are unacceptable & are red lines after head of Zelensky administration supported creation of a consulting group with representatives of the separatist-controlled Donbas during Minsk talks concerning civil war in Donbas.
Western-funded NGOs in Ukraine also de facto supported violent overthrow of Ukrainian government during the Maidan by means of Maidan massacre, civil war in Donbas, far right in Ukraine, and other undemocratic and illiberal developments in Ukrainian politics since Maidan. But Western governments and foundations continued to financially support such NGOs in Ukraine and their undemocratic and illiberal actions. Such actions and calls by foreign-funded NGOs would be taboo for Western governments and foundations in their own countries.
Contrary to propaganda and political rhetoric by the Western and Ukrainian media, politicians, and self-proclaimed experts, this is another indication that the Western democratic governments de facto supported the violent overthrow of Ukrainian government during Maidan, civil war in Donbas, and other undemocratic and illiberal developments in Ukrainian politics since the Maidan. This was done for geopolitical reasons.

After this ultimatum by Western-funded NGOs, Zelensky abandoned any peace talks with Donbas separatists to end civil war in Donbas. "We demand from the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to prevent the implementation of the signed decisions, to immediately abandon the idea of creating an Advisory Council in the mentioned format, to instruct the negotiators from Ukraine to act exclusively within the legal field and within the framework of their powers, and to make it impossible in the future to take steps that disturb the civil society of Ukraine, distance Ukraine from the establishment of peace, contradict the current legislation and national interests of Ukraine."

@Glenn_Diesen This is one way to mainstream violence. Not unusual for community-fascism in the EU and US today.

The problem of sending money to a very corrupt government:
- The fortifications in Kharkov were never built as the money disappeared into fake companies
- Pointing out the obvious has been condemned as undermining the war effort - a great sin in the West

When human beings are fearful, they abandon reason and conform to the in-group for security. The more absurd the lie they accept and repeat, the greater the display of loyalty:
- The UK cut itself off Russian energy and bragged it would collapse the Russian economy. The narrative had to be altered when the sanctions failed and European economies suffered instead. So we are now told it was Russia who cut energy supply. We are compelled to pretend the new narrative is based on reality
- Orwell wrote: "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command"
- Objective reality must have some value of its own, and not be traded away for convenient narratives supporting the war enthusiasm

@jurgen_nauditt You forgot: Ukraine is winning, Russian soldiers have low morale and May soon revolt, Russians go to the front with shovels and take microchips from refrigerators for their weapons. Not my words; yours and your NATO pals.
