The oceans hold 50 times more CO₂ and water is 1,000 times denser and heavier than the atmosphere. This means the thermal engine of the oceans has far more massive heat capacity than the atmosphere. This is the physics we barely monitor in any depth. Human CO₂ is really just a rounding error in this exchange. The 'crisis' narrative ignores the dominant player. Time to look below the oceans surface.

@stegwort23 Nonsense, a trace gas in the atmosphere has little no impact on climate. Oceans are responsible for the vast majority of oxygen production on earth. They also hold vastly more amounts of CO2. Oceans are the engine of the entire climate on earth.

@russ_devillier I did. The OP & you dismiss atmos CO2 as a cause of warming b/c oceans occupy much of the earth’s surface. But that’s been CONSTANT for millennia. Meanwhile there’s decadal CHANGE happening in the atmosphere. Ignorance of that by you & Clack is preposterous & you both know it.
