We need to look after our elderly, they paid vast amounts of NI & no one told them it was a political Ponzi scheme. This country needs to cut regulation to the bone, reduce the size of the state & go after the 8 million on benefits.

The over 60's own the all the houses. So why is this?
You get a 20 year mortgage in your early 30s.
You move twice more, each time you take out a new mortgage.
When you finally pay off the mortgage and own your home you are in your 60s.

No one has ‘paid into’ the state pension. NI payments are spent by the government of the day, not put into a pot with your name on. Using these terms just perpetuates the myth that the state pension is a contributory scheme. It isn’t. It’s a non-means tested universal benefit paid for by current taxpayers.

This war in Iran is aimed at weakening China.
China imports 70% of its oil. Up to 50% of it flows through the Strait of Hormuz.
This all happened at a time where trade negotiations with China and the USA have reached a critical level.
Add in Venezuela, another 5% of China’s oil supply, and guess who really suffers the most in this war?
China has prepared for this in the short term, sticking up on oil, but if the war continues, China will suffer.
Trump is using his final term to strengthen America’s hand over a rising China. Considering he can’t seek re-election, this is the most opportune moment to do so.
