@arnoldsavoir Not a ST holder, but until this season I was a regular in block 4 but got fed up with the view being restricted by the dugout roof, away coaches and the lino. plus they hiked the cost. block 7 now, £50 for me and my 10 year old for the Palace match Vs £76 for a worse view!

Of course- I “get it”. Still feel sick that the “premium halfway-line seating” mentioned is mine and my family’s seats we’ve had since 2001. #afcb

@RoyalMail just had an email saying you couldn’t collect my parcel because nobody is in. 1. that’s an absolute lie, I’m at home and cctv shows you haven’t been here (except to deliver earlier which was handed to me) 2. instructions stated it is in the porch if nobody is in.

There’s a family of 7 with neither parent working, who already receive over £22,000 a year in tax payer funded unemployment benefits, plus £560 per month in rent, (also paid by tax payers), giving them a total income of over £29,000 a year. And they are about to get £10,000 a year MORE when the 2 child cap is lifted They have far more disposable income than the average family because they have no rent or expenses for transportation to and from work. This is completely unsustainable and grossly unfair. Working people shouldn’t have to fund those who choose not to! It’s the weirdest way of developing societies, where the few work their arses off for the many. And it’s all about to go tits up 💥

Another private school has announced it is closing down (the King Alfred School). Labour’s school tax is the greatest act of educational vandalism in our lifetimes. These schools will never come back

How on earth can cutting rates be in line with the @bankofengland mandate of getting inflation below 2%? The Bank is doing all it can to bail out failed Labour fiscal policy. It did the opposite in 2022, deliberately undermining conservative economic policy. The Bank of England is not working and needs to be made accountable again.

@Sargon_of_Akkad Scaled for inflation that would make the average salary 26-29k and average house 80k. Outside of major population areas, this isn't too far away from what we see today. Average salary of around 30k with a 2 bed flat/house being around 100-125k.

In the UK in 1970, the average wage was £1,117 a year and the average house price was £3800. Boomers need to remember these numbers when they tell young people today that they have it easy.
