The Voting Rights Act was bipartisan law for decades. Then SCOTUS handed red states carte blanche to RIG elections and SILENCE voters. WAKE UP.

I strongly disagree with the push for a constitutional amendment to bar foreign-born legislators. foxnews.com/politics/mace-… While I have suggested the possible tinyurl.com/f86u4tce, I cannot think of anything more antithetical to our founding than barring foreign-born citizens from Congress. As a nation of immigrants, it is a reaffirmation of our heritage to have these citizens serve in government...

It's absolutely ABSURD that this man has represented Kentucky in the U.S. Senate since January 3rd, 1985. 41 years. ...it will be the first time in over 41 YEARS that Kentucky will not be represented by this man in the Senate. We need term limits so badly.

Why did Massie lose tonight? Massie went from principled libertarian during COVID, to GOP leadership lapdog under McCarthy, to anti-Trump Epstein obsessive in 2025 after tweeting about that issue a whopping three (3) times in the decade prior. The nail in the coffin for him was voting against OBBB in 2025 because, according to Massie, it did too much to secure the border. Trump mercilessly trashed Massie in 2020–calling him a “disaster” for America and Kentucky and saying he should be thrown out of the GOP entirely—but Massie easily swatted that away and won 81-19, so you can’t say he only lost because of Trump. He went toe-to-toe with Trump on COVID in 2020 and won overwhelmingly. Massie lost because he went from being perceived as a quirky but lovable nerd who seemed to genuinely believe everything he said, to looking like a clout-chasing influencer who cared more about getting TV time with Democrats on an issue he clearly never cared about until five minutes ago than he did about representing his voters. We’ll never know what caused the apparent personality change—maybe it was the death of his wife, maybe it was the McCarthy race followed by McCarthy’s ouster, or maybe it was a desire for notoriety or media acclaim and a lucrative podcasting career outside of Congress—but the drastic change was undeniable, as was the seeming lack of interest in much of anything happening in Kentucky. Blame Trump, blame Israel, blame Epstein, blame the tragic death of a spouse, I don’t care. But you cannot just wave away 2020 Massie going face-to-face with the Trump machine and winning in a rout only to get smoked six years later. Massie’s voters didn’t really change all that much, but he did, and they noticed.

The President just used his power to exempt himself and his family from audits on every tax return they've ever filed. If that is not corruption to the highest degree, then what is?

God bless Thomas Massie. He walks out of this with his honor intact. He’s a patriot & kept his integrity. As long as the voters give their votes to whoever can run the most ads we will have politicians who are purchased by foreign governments & corporate interests.

Trump’s endorsement of Paxton should put to rest the fantasy Trump cares about the GOP as a whole. What he cares more about is building a party that’s loyal to him, not building or sustaining a party that can win. There’s a HUGE difference which is why he regularly endorses the more flawed candidate as they’ll always be more loyal.

Bill Cassidy voted his conscience on impeachment, then spent five years sucking up to Donald Trump. He was the deciding vote for the most unqualified HHS Secretary in my lifetime, a guy laying ruin to the public health system, all to get Trump's favor. Message to my fellow Republicans: you're not going to get his favor. It doesn't work that way.

I took my husband off statins over 20 yrs ago after none of his drs connected his growing, severe leg pain and ultimately inability to walk.. to his recent statin prescription. I was covering statin controversies for CBS News and it dawned on me one day that my husband had the same debilitating symptoms as people I interviewed. He was suffering from rhabdomyolysis but no doctor had even asked him about his meds. They were giving him steroid shots in his knees over and over. Thank goodness with in a couple of weeks of stopping, he got much better, though his legs never went back to normal strength and size. A year or so later, his heart doctor gave him another statin. I objected. The dr said that patients who can't tolerate one can often tolerate another brand. My husband wanted to take his doctor's advice. Within a short period of time, I found my husband crawling up the stairs and in a great deal of pain. I took him off statins again. Thank goodness, he improved a lot. No more crawling. Throughout the next two decades, multiple drs tried to put him on statins again even though I strictly said he must never be on them again and explained why.

Doctor: "Your LDL is still high. I'm adding a second statin." Patient: "I'm already on one. My legs ache." Doctor: "That's a known side effect. I'll add CoQ10." Patient: "And I'm tired all the time." Doctor: "Fatigue is common. I'll add modafinil." Patient: "My memory is foggy." Doctor: "Cognitive effects can occur. Donepezil should help." Patient: "I have a cough now." Doctor: "That'll be the ACE inhibitor I prescribed last visit. We'll swap it for an ARB." Patient: "I'm not sleeping." Doctor: "Zopiclone." Patient: "Heard that's addictive." Doctor: "We'll taper you with mirtazapine when the time comes." Patient: "My blood sugar has gone up." Doctor: "Statins can do that. Metformin." Patient: "I get diarrhoea on metformin." Doctor: "Loperamide." Patient: "I've gained weight." Doctor: "Ozempic." Patient: "I feel nauseous." Doctor: "Ondansetron." Patient: "I don't want to be on twelve medications." Doctor: "Anxiety is common at this stage. I'll add sertraline." Patient: "What if I just stopped the statin?" Doctor: "Absolutely not."
