At home a woman's place is in the kitchen but in the restaurant industry she is a waitress. That is because in the eyes of man, a woman's place is that of servitude.

What this convo taught me is that everyone identifies with the abuser but no one ever spares even a single thought for the victims. Aren't the victims marginalized too ? Poor too ? What about them ? Their struggle ? Their right to a fair trial ?

It's telling that many of these arguments are based on appeals to history—lynching "occured," past tense—rather than based on an understanding of the modern evolution of that history into a "justice" system that continues to relentlessly criminalize marginalized people.

You president is a sexual predator who has filled his cabients and the courts with sexual predators. Othering is predicated on marginalization, and "righteous" violence is rationalized with whatever is most convenient.
maya 🦭@mayaisfiya

by constructing a deviant “other” (in this case the criminal, the sexual deviant, and the predator all in one) you are able to do anything to anyone you sort into that otherness, which is why lynchings occurred as mass popular events where the audience felt righteous and gleeful

Feminists were mocked endlessly in the mid 2010s for talking about rape culture and now it’s just constant news stories about our govt & laws shielding sexual predators. Feminists were right all along

"they're censoring taboo sexuality!!!" and it's rape, the cornerstone upon which the entire regime of cisheteropatriarchy is built

"Taking rape from the realm of 'the sexual,' placing it in the realm of 'the violent,' allows one to be against it without raising any questions about the extent to which the institution of heterosexuality has defined force as a normal part of [sex]."

Once you understand that rape isn’t about sex but about power, domination, and control… it stops being baffling and starts being terrifying. It’s about making someone feel small, worthless, voiceless, breakable.

Please share and donate to help my friend escape her abusive father. She has been unbelievably brave in seeking help up to this point but she can't do it alone.

The most interesting part of this: girls underperforming related to boys in math is evidence of their genetic natural inferiority in the subject, but they overperforming boys in everything else is evidence of the system being rigged against boys.

Celebrities like Sabrina can commodify their sexuality on a massive scale while staying relatively insulated from the worst forms of exploitation. That doesn’t mean the system is empowering, it just means they’re at the top of a hierarchy that still exploits most women.
Bernie@ItsJustBerno

gen z "feminism" has so violently pivoted to right wing prude culture that women can no longer be sexy because men might enjoy it so women like Sabrina must be shamed and criticized. One might even call her a whore for what she's wearing. but it's woke so it's ok.

i think "the woke feminazis are trying to cancel thin feminine blonde women who like being submissive to men" is a million times more similar to conservative rhetoric than any feminist criticism of sabrina i've seen but 😹😹
