Does CSK management and Rutu have the balls to do what MI did in 2013? They were trophyless for first 5years and lost a finale in 2010. Ricky Pointing stepped down from captaincy in middle of the 2013 season when he realised things weren't working as expected under his leadership and appointed a not so young Rohit but a fresh mind as their captain. We all know how things went after that. Can CSK do the same now? Can Rutu take the bold call(literally breaking the trust with which MS handed over him csk) but keeping the franchise's growth in mind? And CSK should just blindly hand over Captaincy to Ayush. Doesn't matter whether he fails or not but we need someone who can handle CSK without carrying the pressure of what MS and CSK has achieved all these years. Making Sanju captain makes no sense as his batting is a worry now itself. So we can just pray Rutu and Sanju get back to their original form with the bat rather than taking any sorts of captaincy pressure. They should be kept out of this debate and we need them more as batters at this point

CSK are the Targaryens of the IPL. A dynasty with dragons breathing fire, feared by every opponent who stepped onto the field against us. Back then, everyone knew what was coming: intensity, dominance, teamwork, spin chokeholds, big hitting, fiery finishes, intelligent death bowling & the power to burn through any challenge.
Now, it feels like the dragons don’t exist & the fire has dimmed. Its extremely disheartening to see our lovable franchise like this. Maybe this is the 'Mad King' era - a phase of struggle, uncertainty & transition.
Still, as OG fans, we should know this isn’t the end. Dynasties don’t disappear, they rebuild. The dragons will rise again, the fire will return & CSK will reclaim its roar. Might not happen this season. Might be a long, tough road ahead in 2026, but the tide will turn around! 🐉🔥💛

Mumbai Indians under Rohit Sharma tamed MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings several times...be it in Wankhede, at Chepauk or in neutral venues like the 3 IPL finals. CSK beat MI on their comeback in 2018 in Wankhede and also had some memorable performances. Despite such dominance from MI over CSK or despite CSK beating MI, I have never seen that much of a bad blood between the two fanbases. There is mutual respect and admiration for the legacy and silverware that they have won. There is class there is a stature of history. What I am seeing since yesterday and also in the past couple of years between RCB and CSK is just disappointing (although entertaining as a neutral but sometimes it is just too much). You are the defending champions man..show some class. Trying to kick an IPL giant when they are already down in their worst phase is just poor. Trophies cannot buy class. Raise your standards before it is too late. Probably learn from these two here.
