The biggest generator of long-term results is learning to do things when you don’t feel like doing them. If you let excuses or emotions drive behavior, you’re cheating your future self. Put aside the excuses and start doing what you need to do.

Every conversation has multiple layers. Some people hide behind masks. Others lie to others (and themselves). And others say one thing with their mouth and another with their body. It only takes seeing through one of these layers for somebody to call you a genius.

If you are serious about your goal, make sure each day gets you a bit closer. You think you were relaxing for a few days, but before you know it, it’s been six months, it’s been several years, and you are still very far from your long-term vision. Stay focused. Time will fly.

Life gets better once you realize that every time you feel scared of doing something, it means the current you is not fully up to the task, it also means that you are about to grow as a person: you just need to stop overthinking your current limitations, get started, and push.

Slow down and remember this: Most things make no difference. Being busy is a form of laziness—lazy thinking and indiscriminate action. Being overwhelmed is often as unproductive as doing nothing, and is far more unpleasant. Being selective—doing less—is the path of the productive. Focus on the important few and ignore the rest.

There is nothing more common than getting distracted for a few days that suddenly become a few months, and before you know it, several years passed and you didn’t get closer to any of your goals. If you don’t make daily progress, you are not serious about your long-term vision.

The older I get the more I realize that joy and grief not only can but must coexist in our lives. Joy without grief is turning a blind eye to the pain in the world. Grief without joy allows the hardship to silence the beauty. Joy and grief. That’s life.

To be creative, you need to go from passive observation to active participation. 1. Go outside. Read. Write. Cook. Party. Workout. Play. Connect with people. Live life! 2. Observe & take field notes. 3. Share your experiences with others via a medium that feels right. Done :)
