Sean McVay nailed the job description. Be an elevator. Lift people to their highest potential. That's it. That's leadership. Not a critic. Not a ceiling. An elevator. 🔥

@CoachSwit Too many “coaches” that don’t know how to coach the complete game and just coach the scoreboard.

Everyone wants to start a travel baseball team. That’s the problem. Too many teams. Too many average rosters. Too many kids told they’re “elite.” Fewer, stronger teams would develop players a whole lot better.

"The American is under attack". Legacy media interviewed this guy and he dropped so many hard facts they weren't expecting, in under 2mins.

I sent this to every hitter I train. (You should do the same.) It's a phenomenal example of what it actually takes and what it looks like. Watch it. Save it. Send it to your hitters.

Analytics matter more than ever. e This is exactly why you need to train with data Data doesn’t lie. Know your numbers Track your progress. Develop with purpose If organizations are making decisions with data, you’d better know yours

@GowagsKyle Went to the Braves game a few months ago and it was to expensive to eat or drink so I sat there and locked in as you did. It was absolutely ridiculous the amount of baseballs they went through.

Went to the Orioles game last night and I was locked in on…THE NUMBER OF BASEBALLS THEY GO THROUGH IN A GAME. Slider in the dirt…GONE! Two hopper to short, 6-3 putout. Ball goes around the horn, pitcher gets a new ball. 3B throws it to the ball girl…GONE! Strikeout…

@CoachSwit @CJMonroe_10 That’s why the travel baseball is what it is these days, a social event for parents. They create teams so the parents can have a “Good Ole Time” with their buddies.

It amazes me when you pull into a youth travel baseball game and the opposing team’s parents are tailgating or pre-gaming in the parking lot. It’s youth baseball… not a college football Saturday. Nothing surprises me in travel ball anymore.

@CoachSwit Yep, as soon as it came out first thing that came to mind was a money grab, nothing in this decision makes the game better.

No Reason for this but money? Whoever makes these decisions are clueless. High School Baseball to Expand Drop Weight Options Under USA BBCOR and USABat The NFHS Rules Committee votes to allow USA BBCOR (-3) and USABat -4, -5, and -6 for high school play beginning in 2028

Coaches, especially youth coaches. Please stop screaming at your players for their mistakes. Placing even more fear of failing in them doesn't help. The pressure to perform is very high from so many sources. Let them play. Your record will be okay.

HS players and parents chasing college baseball — this is the single most important piece of advice I can give you: Find ONE person you trust and stick with them. NOT the fanciest social media account. NOT the guy selling you a dream. NOT the org telling you what you WANT to hear One trusted guide who actually knows the landscape. Full breakdown of exactly what to look for 👇

When I was 13 years old, I told my dad I wanted to become a Major League Baseball player. He looked at me and said, "You can... but we need a plan." So we sat down and made one. First, we created the big vision. Play in the Major Leagues. Then we worked backwards. We made a one-year plan. At the time, I wanted to make a better travel team and play in bigger tournaments. Then we made a season plan. Then a monthly plan. Then a weekly plan. Then a daily plan. Some days it was: - 50 swings to left-center. - 50 swings up the middle. - 50 swings to right-center. Other days it was: - Dry swings. - Push-ups. - Sit-ups. - Sprints. - Up-downs. Every week, we'd sit back down together. We'd look at the plan. Keep what was working. Change what wasn't. We repeated that process for years. Eventually... I played in the Major Leagues. Because here's one thing I learned from my dad: Dreams don't become reality because you have a vision. They become reality because you have a plan. Most players have goals. Very few have a system for reaching them. Thank you for reading, Jermaine Curtis P.S. - If you enjoyed this and thought it was helpful, please share it. (This tells me you want more content like this.)
