Wow, listening to this really put a lot into perspective. I’m 22, and this hit hard. What he’s basically saying is that people in their 20s today know too much. There’s so much information and awareness that we don’t really get to live in that natural oblivion anymore. And honestly, a little oblivion matters. Being in a dream-like phase isn’t a flaw. It’s part of the process. Eventually reality hits on its own, but you don’t need to rush it.
I mean, I’m guilty of this too, but I see so many people in their 20s constantly advocating for politics, rights, and health. And yes, that’s important and meaningful. But we’re also young. Our 20s are meant for living, exploring, making mistakes, and figuring ourselves out. Not everything has to be a fight or a demand for change all the time. Some awareness is good, but so is joy, curiosity, and actually experiencing life while we’re here.

This was an eye opener from Jensen Huang When asked whether he would rather relive his 20s or be 20 years old today, this is what he had to say: "I thought our 20s were happier than these 20s. I think everyone deserves some time to be oblivious, and not wear all of the world's problems on their shoulders on Day 1 We are raising a generation that is very cynical and too informed They are cynical, not because they are inherently cynical. They are cynical because they see so much stuff. It is too much stuff You have to build up some internal reserve of optimism. You have to build up some reserve of goodness."

Gut health can be painstakingly hard to improve.
You should understand these realities on your journey to fix yours:
1/ Most severe issues require an imperfect solution.
2/ Progress is stunted if you don't lab test or assess symptoms.
3/ Some people's gut issues are just from excess weight and an energy surplus.
4/ The gut takes time to heal (sometimes years). Most testimonies of being FIXED within a few months, just mean they improved (which is still good).
5/ You need to do the work. Your protocol/practitioner is 40% of the equation. You're 60%.
6/ The better your health/gut is, the more your approach should focus on food, light, sleep, movement, and body fat.
7/ In addition to point 6, food becomes medicine for your gut. Fibre, starch, fermented food, micronutrients, slow cooked food, all become the building blocks of a great gut. But only once you tolerate it.
8/ You will have times during your journey where you stall, feel like you're going backwards, and lose hope. You need to stay strong.
9/ Sometimes genetics matter.
10/ You need to consider all your weak spots to improve your gut (weight, metabolic health, nutrient status, stress, bile, liver, motility, stomach acid, thyroid, sleep, relationships, habits, movement).
11/ I don't believe I would have healed my gut (which was severely dysfunctional) without supplements.

@nairndavid_ Diet isn’t just food it’s the environment you put yourself in, the people you surround and the information you consume

Have been off the fluoride toothpaste for a while, but took a while to find solid fluoride free toothpastes that I feel like made a positive impact on teeth and enamel. @nobsroutines, @loveyourboka and @Revitin are those toothpastes

Helped a friend transition to remote work last month
She went from "my boss will never allow it" to fully remote in 6 weeks
Here's the process:
Week 1-2: She built a detailed case showing how it benefits the team. Her boss didn't care about her
So, she documented deliverables and proposed a trial period
Week 3: She didn't ask to "work from home". Instead, she proposed a trial arrangement with zero team disruption
Week 4: She over-delivered during the trial. Responded faster, documented everything, joined calls early...
Week 5-6: After proving it worked, she made it permanent
The lesson is: make it all about how you can benefit the company while working remotely

@trevor_abroad 💯 I don’t think anything competes on a hot sunny day

If your mood, hormones or energy levels start to tank this winter, it’s likely light related.
North of the 37th parallel, UVB is too weak for Vitamin D production.
A Sperti lamp, red light, and a healthy indoor light environment can help you thrive this winter. Still get outside in the morning for circadian rhythm alignment. And nothing beats the warmth of a sauna on a cold day.
