We pay the highest taxes but the our state government can't even do basic fire prevention and forest management! Wildfires are a natural part of life in California, but they don't have to be this out of control and catastrophic. @SteveHiltonx The Native Americans in my part of California used to thin out the forests for that exact reason…wildfire prevention and management. California absolutely can do the same, and if this state was properly governed it would cost way less than hundreds of billions annually.
