#Reds make moves: Activated from the 15-day IL Pierce Johnson Selected from AAA-Louisville RHP Julian Garcia Optioned to Louisville RHP Zach Maxwell Designated for assignment Chris Paddack. Garcia is a 31-year old RHP. This season 3.03 in 21 appearances. 35.2 innings/54 K. Five straight scoreless appearances. He will be making his MLB debut. He was a 10th round pick of the Phillies in 2016. He's spent parts of 8 seasons in the minors. He made 19 starts last season for the Kansas City Monarchs of the Independent League. He's pitched in independent ball, winter ball, in Puerto Rico, in San Juan.....

Brooks Rasmussen (@BrooksRas2) concluded an impressive college baseball career with MSU Denver.
The Meridian, Idaho native and Mountain View High School (@MtnViewMavs1) product earned Idaho Player of the Year honors in 2021.
He continued his development at Columbia Basin College (@CBCBaseball22), where he posted a .345 career batting average over two seasons, including a .349 mark in 2023 with 27 stolen bases while earning All-Region and All-NWAC First Team honors.
After redshirting in 2024, Rasmussen made an immediate impact for the Roadrunners (@MSUDenverBSB). In 2025, he hit .369 with a .445 on-base percentage in 43 games.
He followed that with a standout senior season in 2026, batting .406 with a .507 OBP and .556 SLG across 56 games. Rasmussen recorded 18 doubles, 40 RBI, 57 runs scored, and led the team with 19 stolen bases. He was named RMAC Gold Glove winner and earned ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-Region honors.
