Why are people shitting on a JAPANESE themed game having a gundam segment?

@RestockGlep @ArcRaidersInfo split the player base or lose 90% the player base for having no content? easy choice imo. Content keeps people playing and it did the splitting playerbase wasnt even an issue until years after.

The only issue admittedly was they would unfortunately split the player base but fuck man we used to get quality content at least

Has ARC Raiders just killed their own game? ARC Raiders is moving to 2 major updates per year (instead of monthly drops) for bigger changes, while only doing regular balance and big fixes in the meantime. Next big map update is in ~167 days.

@CM1559845 @nickjcal BF was for like 4 titles in a row 16 maps I believe bf3 had and about 25 guns and then a load of vehicles/modes. Game devs are lazy now. Paying for content gave us content now we pay for skins and we get more skins.

I don't think anyone wants to hear it, but this is the right call. The expectation that a big new map or some huge gameplay change is going to come every 2 months or whatever is completely unrealistic and puts way too much pressure on studios. arcraiders.com/news/developme…

People are going to act like this is somehow a bad thing; but when ARC eventually provides deeper, more meaningful means to progression, these longer dev times will allow the updates to feel less like patches and more like UPDATES. Good thing!

@pcgamer Could you know just go back to paying for content. Live service has never offered enough content for the demand. Bring back map packs and premiums. Id rather pay for content than skins.

@isolatedrook Because gamers expect old style content drops and we don't get that any more. This is what happens when we no longer pay for content packs/premiums. We laughably got more content in 1 year on older games than we get in near a decade of live service for games now...

@NextGenNero nope sonys exclusives have fell off hard. Yotei was terrible compared to Tsushima and Saros is terrible compared to Returnal.

PlayStation gamers don’t appreciate the gems they have lol. Saros reportedly only selling 300K is embarrassing, game is amazing. I said the same thing about Returnal at launch way back. People don’t value dope, innovative gameplay anymore

GoW 2018 is actually replayable with actual depth to its mechanics. It doesn’t have micro tiny details tho that clearly are more important in a game. Clearly.

Well it sounds like you’re not interested in Destiny and that’s fine. There are plenty other games that you could try. In order for new IPs to come out, they need to sell well and in recent years they have become a risk so big studios will not take the risk. Highguard and Concord are new IPs from and no one played them. Indie devs are making new IPs and selling well. Bungie’s new IP (Marathon) isn’t doing well either.

Marathon was never meant to replace D2, why do people keep positing that

You do know that Destiny has the longevity like World of Warcraft that has been releasing content for over 20 years. There’s nothing wrong with the Destiny IP. If you don’t like Destiny then stop talking about it and play something else. There’s no other game like Destiny in Market right now, there are similar games like The Division or Warframe but nothing like the success of Destiny. If Destiny goes that leaves the looter shooter genre wide open for The Division 3 to take its place or a new game. Then bungie will be kicking themselves for ditching a live service game.
