You would start in your new role, which is actually something you are doing the first time and about 3 weeks after your start date when he would think he didn't see any work being done by you, instead of sliding into your DMs like "Howdy? I don't see much work done by you, are you ok? Can I help you in any way?", he would just publicly shit on you? That would be so welcoming wouldn't it? Now imagine you are being a woman out of a Rails Bootcamp. All the other women are considering getting into tech and learning Rails. Since they all dream about being treated like this, they would immediately start following up on that dream. And they still say @dhh is the problem? He causes people not to want to get into Rails? Maybe look into a mirror and do a bit of reflection.
