Overwhelmed with gratitude! Thank you all for your comments, shares, and love. It was another magical trip to say the least. How about our guy, Bobby Witt Jr? You all get to witness how great of a ball player he is but I assure he is an even better person. He is everything the Lou Gehrig Award is about as are Salvy and George. What a true honor and privilege it is to be loved and supported by these men and the entire Royals organization. Much more to come but enjoy one of my most favorite pictures. I spent 10 years pitching professionally. Late innings, high stakes, every emotion in the book. Some nights you’re untouchable, other nights you can’t get an out to save your life. Watching Kirkering last night hit me hard. Unless you’ve stood on that mound with the game on your shoulders, you can’t really understand it. That place can make you feel like a hero, and it can also be the loneliest spot on earth. No hiding, no excuses. Baseball and sports in general can be the best job in the world and the cruelest all at once. My heart went out to him.
