GPT2 1.5B, GPT3 175B parameters (albeit different than neurons). Human Brain 86B Neurons and 86B non-neuron cells. Could argue add. intel via wider nervous system, but needs to process sensory and different lobes. If GPT4 est 1-100T in 2023, shouldn't we expect near human equiv?

@annie_parker Seems like she’s getting it from both sides. Tons of people shaming her going to Tokyo/games in the first place, and clearly being bullied to be at the ceremonies. The whole situation seems wrong to me

@bigyahu So, if you don’t represent a geography, then what are you expected to govern? How do you determine what jurisdiction you operate under if not by geo? Without good answers this isn’t any different than an elected official of an internet discussion group.

The most broken aspect of representative democracy is that we are all bound within lines drawn on a map. We need to evolve a non-geographic system of democracy where people with common values — not people with a common postal code — choose an elected representative.

Does anyone know of a sane way to push notifications to users on a local network, no internet involved?

@sydneycolemanSF @adblanche @Nextdoor Hmm, I thought it was illegal to employ small children in the US but even for a 13yo boy that’s pretty immature and unprofessional. Definitely not ok.

@bigyahu Its the ultimate troll move i think. Now all the media attention will be on this BS comment from him, that he’ll just walk back next week, INSTEAD of the media giving all the attention to the DNC / Biden, or covid deaths, or the 1000 other horrific things deserve more attention.

Underdone SaaS pricing/billing/retention strategy: 3 months after I sign up paying monthly, offer to let me pay the rest of the year at the pro-rata of your yearly billing rate. Surely this would convert well?

.@bigyahu is one of a group of @startmate people who believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself, along w @nikiscevak and Mike Casey. Belief is totally underrated and more valuable than money. If you can get both from @bigyahu you should take it. link.medium.com/ABV8ezuel8

@developerjack I’m in a similar boat and been thinking about a usb-c KVM switch as a possible option too. Really curious to see what you settle on. What else are you trying to connect/drive besides monitors?

@apglo Yea, embarrassing to know that I’ve made this mistake in the past - hopefully not as cringeworthy as this though. I try to be better now

@pjlaurie Whole heartedly agree. Worth noting though, when accelerators/incubators/programs consistently don’t compensate Mentors, this can create the misaligned incentives that can lead to these behaviors more frequently. Mentoring can be very fulfilling but time is a limited resource.

Dear #mentors, Mentoring sessions are *not* an opportunity to spruik your services. It hurts all of us when I have to undo that when it's done. Cheers, Peter For Founders: Unsurprisingly the used car salesman says you need to buy a used car.

@paulg Can we have a competition where adults have their arms stuck out, making whooshing noises? It would be exclusive!

Preparing kids to become startup founders by having them do pitch contests is like preparing kids to become pilots by having them run around the room with their arms stuck out, making whooshing noises.
