It’s been a week now since I lost my Ren, my husband and best friend. It’s been an overwhelming week to say the least. I think accepting sympathy is one of the hardest parts because it makes you relive it over and over again. But at the same time, you are so grateful for the love and comfort and kindness of others. Grief is complicated. I’m slowly learning to accept each emotion as they come and to feel what I feel in each moment without expectation or self-judgment. Our children and I are looking for “pockets of joy” in every day. And we’re finding them. Life will never be the same again, and I will forever miss my best friend and life partner. But he is with us always.

@nealriley The biggest difference I've found is whether it's realtime collaboration/ideation or sparring established ideas. Sparring works without a whiteboard for me, but establishing a shared understanding early in a complex problem space, whiteboards are best?

@steveathon So…the recent ‘multimodal’ models really make this so much more powerful too… we’ve been debating about which group (visual/textual thinkers) benefits best/quickest.

Just did my first video call drawing on an pen/paper to digital whiteboard device to communicate ideas - and I think it halved the time it took to spar them out.

@nathanclark_ I ended up using the iPad @canva app to whiteboard with the pen - and then either screen share the iPad or just have everyone in the Canva whiteboard to keep faces visible on the call. The draw tools work great.

@steveathon Big fan of this. How did you approach it? I generally have my iPad plugged in and share a drawing app window from Quicktimr. Decent analog for whiteboard but I’m always open to a better solution.
