Best thing you can do is always verify yourself.

Because crypto is now becoming part of TradFi, the words "institutional-grade" and "enterprise-grade" are getting thrown around a lot by marketing teams.
It's important not to inherently trust, but instead verify what these words mean to each team using them.
In the case of vaults, not all vaults are created equal. There can be significant variation between the infrastructure and the way each vault functions, including the permissions given to curators and admins and the degree to which the vaults are monitored vs allowed to automatically do things without oversight.
To be honest, even the word "vault" is not a perfect term because some of what is called a "vault" in DeFi is very different from a vehicle that strategically deploys and safeguards user funds. Unfortunately, many do not take adequate steps to protect depositor funds. Because of this, the risk profile can vary between vault infrastructures. There is always risk with any financial instrument and blockchain smart contracts, including all vaults, but the level of risk varies.
To me "enterprise-grade" vault infra means:
- has robust security measures and controls (timelocks, extensive security reviews before adding new assets + protocols, ability to temporarily pause withdrawals in emergencies, etc)
- is non-custodial (only depositors can withdraw their funds. vault admin cannot withdraw or transfer user funds)
- can enable a company's compliance needs (big one)
- future-proof: can be adapted and modified over time to support more, fewer, or different chains, protocols, deposit assets, risk managers to adapt to market conditions and business needs
- transparent: depositors can view their assets onchain anytime
- option for instant withdrawals if desired to meet enterprise user expectations
- has been proven at billion-dollar scale with other enterprises
etc etc
Many vaults out there do not have all of these features.

@aaalexhl But those 10 users? They're very important. They're the founder's mom and nine friends he bribed with airdrops.

The biggest thing I try to teach people when it comes to learning and working with AI is about the mindset shift
Going from “I don’t know how to do something” or “I don’t know who to ask” to literally “just ask Claude” (or whatever interface)
It’s the new “just google it” but it applies to practically everything

Delta-neutral yield isn't magically generated, so where does it come from?
Three in-house strategies for YieldVault's eUSX:
- Funding Rate Arbitrage - capturing perp funding while hedging spot
- Hedged Staking - staking SOL, ETH, and BTC while hedging price risk
- Tokenized T-bills - allocating to short-term U.S. Treasury exposure
