I roast coffee & build worlds. Cyberdecks, grids, tiny apps. Systems over vibes.

Today we're launching channels for Claude Code as an experimental feature! A few days ago, I was fed up that I couldn't text Claude on the go like I would any of my friends. But those days are gone! Claude is saved in my contacts and I can keep shipping on the go.

Btw the average person is still only using AI for search / summaries / plans. The gap between how most people use AI and what’s actually possible right now is prob the biggest opportunity I’ve seen in tech.

@anumness Maybe the solution to all the “When Android!?” cries is actually now: “Build it yourself.”

I’m learning to build a wristwatch: Where I’m at today vs where I’m (hopefully) going…

“ChatGPT is my PC.” Arguing about models is dumb. Understanding how model companies are building is smart. OpenAI builds complete systems. ChatGPT is like a PC. Codex is like a 3D printer…give it a file and it will make the entire thing. Anthropic builds toolboxes. Sometimes you need a hammer, sometimes a level, sometimes a soldering iron. Claude connects to your existing PC and uses (or even builds) tools to accomplish tasks. Understanding this, the news below makes total sense:
Techmeme@Techmeme

OpenAI plans to unify ChatGPT, Codex, and its browser into a desktop "superapp" to simplify the user experience and focus on engineering and business customers (@berber_jin1 / Wall Street Journal) wsj.com/tech/openai-pl… #a260319p54" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">techmeme.com/260319/p54#a26

@herrmanndigital Bookmark. Then use Claude Code to talk to my bookmarks and make sense of things.

This Verge article is nonsensical, to the point that even regular Verge commenters are saying so, and the featured image is horrendously cringe. This is what happens when journalists get so deep into an echo chamber that they completely lose touch. theverge.com/report/896820/…

@joemccann @cerebras Yeah it’s a script. I believe it’s using the browser’s cookie for auth. It ingests bookmarks to an obsidian vault, runs them through QMD for semantic search. I’ll publish a repo tonight.

@joemccann @cerebras There’s way too much good content flying by on the timeline. So it’s great to pick out patterns at my convenience. Not just for trading but also like design inspirations, possibly useful skills, news…it’s just easier to ask Claude what is useful to me right now,

@ryanfoxeth Very similar conceptually to what I'm doing. I try to use cheap/free API calls like @cerebras OSS-GPT for tweet classification but directionally, this is very similar

@joemccann I saw the Siftly repo, got nervous because Claude flagged a few things, and so I asked it to make something similar.

🚀SpaceX Starship Superheavy diorama is available now! Website link is on my profile. You can just search “diorama” on the site and it will come up. For the JWST pins/magnet just search “JWST” 🪐🔭

@0FJAKE @farcaster_xyz You can’t build a social graph and win. They need to build a different graph and win on that—just like TikTok did with the interest graph. It’s been their fundamental error since day one.

Farcaster (@farcaster_xyz) at its best was a place to make money, make friends, and have fun. The problem is, for many months now, people have lost money, lost friends, and not had fun. I don't have a great solution, but I think that's a pretty good description of the problem.

Peak era for social media was around 2008-2018 because people posted real information about their lives to people who actually knew them—it was wholesome. Now it’s basically just a way to talk about current events with strangers. No wonder so many are unwell.
