@Optikz78 @jen_keesmaat Yes. We keep on going back to the same solutions like bike lanes, tolls, etc - none of which work. Truly invest in technology. Think about where society is going 10 years from now. Be innovative.

@jen_keesmaat Actually, self driving cars that talk to each other could solve a lot of gridlock as you won’t have stupid human decisions causing the gridlock. Space between cars would be consistent, merging would flow much faster, so many areas ai and tech can help

News flash: fewer cars is the only way to ease gridlock. Technology won’t save us. It’s a physics problem. Too many cars, not enough space. Until the City becomes serious about being an urban place that promotes walking, cycling, and transit as first choices for getting around, this mess will not be resolved. It’s a shame to see the city so lost when it comes to a vision of a livable, urban future. London figured it out, Paris figured it out, Montreal is figuring it out. But Toronto is regressing, prioritizing moving cars as the key to mobility. It’s both sad and futile. Congestion Pricing could solve this problem overnight.

@ronmortgageguy The other side of this is as technology changes, the transportation options available by the time this thing is finished will make this obsolete. How far away are we from flying taxis? Even autonomous vehicles will make a difference.

Finding out you have to attend a formal wedding this weekend for your wife's friend second marriage is one of the worst feelings imaginable. Ive been retired from this sort of thing longer than Philip Rivers was retired. I cant believe I have to unretire for this. Im crushed.

Ontario‘s ad was intended to initiate a conversation about the impact of tariffs on American workers. In seven days, it achieved 11.4 billion views, raising awareness of President Reagan’s warnings against protectionism.

Let’s get something straight. You don’t have to like, vote or even support Doug Ford to think that he’s right to fight Trump. If you’re criticizing him for taking a hard line with a factually correct ad — you’re missing the plot. The ads were right. This isn’t about ads.

@fordnation As a Conservative, none of this is helping. Do we honestly think the public will suddenly see the light because of ads or posts like this? It just inflames. Sit down at the table and negotiate a deal.

@altruafinancial It’s worse than that. From October 8, 2020 to April 25, 2024, a total of $46.1 billion in investments across the EV supply chain has been announced across thirteen project groupings. pbo-dpb.ca/en/additional-…

I try not to get into politics much. I am a financial planner who is understanding, respectful, and supportive of many views. But there are things like these that I question: The Federal government invested over $1 billion into 3 electric/ battery factories in ON. NONE operational. NOTHING produced. That's $1B+of Canadians' money gone. Full stop. Why isn't this in the media? Why are Canadians so tolerant of this kind of waste? What is the one thing that frustrated Canadians can do to stop this? And WHY aren't they doing it?

@ronmortgageguy He shouldn't be speaking for Canada in the first place. Our challenge is we have a major leadership gap not having a viable Prime Minister. We need an election to allow Trump to negotiate with a party he knows will be around.

Mark Carney blatantly lied to Canadians last night. He claimed he had nothing to do with moving his company headquarters to Trump's America, even though he chaired the meeting where the decision was made and wrote company shareholders endorsing the move. If he won't protect jobs in his own company, why would he protect yours? If Carney wins, Canada loses: conservative.ca/cpc/if-carney-…

Keep in mind the impact of the weakened Canadian dollar. US goods will be even more expensive here. While Canadian goods will not feel the full tariff impact in the US due to the opposite dollar impact.
