am i the only one who can’t stand capcut lately? 😭 it gets SO glitchy halfway through editing that i have to close the app and hope it starts working again. maybe i just have too many projects saved… but it’s gotten to the point where it’s barely usable. i’ve honestly been using instagram edits for quick edits way more. anyone else dealing with this or is it just me? #ugccreator #ugc #ugccommunity

@beckyfeiginugc Ha! You sound like me on the tiktok shop side. Also did shop in 2024-25 and hit $1m GMV until that whole platform went nutso and switched to UGC end of last year and doing great! Congrats!

I honestly don’t talk about this enough, but I’m genuinely so proud of my growth this year. In 2024 I did UGC + TikTok Shop and surpassed $100k by October of that year. In 2025, TTS burned me out so I just focused on UGC. But then I got a creative strategist role that destroyed me in less than 3 months and sent me into quite the depression lol (toxic bosses am I right?!). I still managed to make $85k last year even though I basically dropped UGC for 3 months to focus on a low paying CS role. In 2026, I had to build my business back up from the ground. January started at zero like for real zero. I’ve become a stronger business owner and such a better creator and partner this year. Most of my projects don’t need any revisions. I get clients coming back to me over and over. I have brands and agencies asking me to do retainers. And it’s all because of compounding work and focus. I got close with @UgcEmilyMiller this year and this girl really pushed + inspired me. I raised my rates and I’m working my ass off. Even with a slow Q1, I’ve surpassed $50k in contracted work already this year. Plus I have A TON of happy clients. Talk about a glow up! I’m just so proud of the growth I’ve had as a business owner, creator, and person. #ugccreator

@KadiaDialUGC Andromeda, GEM, Lattice.. all that fun stuff. I got crushed by it on my ecom site when it rolled out last year. All about creative diversity and targeting via the creative ad asset itself.

A long time client of mine just told me she had a call with a group of TEN creators and not one of these creators knew what Andromeda is… 😳 You cannot continue to expect premium rates for creating ads.. that brands run on META… without learning about the meta algorithm. Things that worked great last year have shifted, not saying they don’t work, but they’re not as valuable. Take some time and do some research I promise it’ll pay off 👏 #ugc #ugccommunity

@beingbriley Interestingly when I reviewed portfolios I spend less than a minute and watch the first few seconds of 1-3 videos. I don’t care about template, I care the videos work when I press play and I prefer they don’t autoplay all at once.

Respectfully, I think people confuse structure with originality. No one looks at a resume and says, “Everyone used the same format, so they’re all the same candidate.” A portfolio is no different. The template is just the container. The differentiator is your work, your positioning, your copy, your results, your personality, and your brand. If all someone changes is the colors, sure it’ll blend in. But if the content is strong, no one is hiring the template. They’re hiring the person behind it. #ugccreators #ugc #ugccommunity

I think this is my first Saturday where I’m not actively working on anything related a UGC gig. Instead I’m mapping out a personal content plan, watching thru the Motion Creative Strategy Bootcamp, helping a few new creators with their videos/portfolios… lol

Every UGC video i make i visualize in my mind how its going to turn out. I read the script (if provided) or visualize my own concept and let it marinate in my brain for a day or so.. Then the actual work is easy as i have already seen how it will turn out. Results usually tend to exceed my visualization as well.. Anybody else do this?? #ugc #ugcreator #ugccommunity

I wrote off Backstage too early. Circled back once they added a UGC side, started pitching again, and it's paid off. Three collaborations secured, easily worth what I put in. Sometimes the door you closed just needed a second knock.
