BREAKING: Senate GOP leaders have postponed plans to pass a budget reconciliation package designed to fund ICE & CBP because of concerns around the DOJ weaponization fund. This is remarkable given that the weaponization fund was/is not part of the original bill.

"If he (Cornyn) loses, he's got a structural five or six votes that can stop anything here from a simple majority for the remainder of this term," Tillis said. "I don't know if that's wise strategy or not. I don't think it's wise strategy.”

Tillis added that dumping an incumbent like John Cornyn overboard will only make Trump's efforts to govern much more difficult. (more)
