Practice does more than build skill. It drives vigorous physical activity + executive function at the same time. Dual-task motor practice = true holistic development in youth. New in Journal of Motor Learning & Development. doi.org/10.1123/jmld.2…

🚨Decision makers in Higher Ed EXSC and PE🚨 I have way too many conversations with young coaches in one field or the other who want to be high school S&C coaches who can’t get jobs.

@Megan_Natsumi Appreciate the interest! Speed Stacking alone won’t cut it for PE intensity standards, students need more movement But as part of hybrid models (Run+Stack, warm-ups, stations), it adds fun, focus, and skill value Bottom line: stack smart, but don’t mistake it for your MVPA driver

@ryansacko Fascinating research speed stacking seems like such a unique way to study movement and energy! How do you see these findings influencing physical education programs or shaping future approaches to student engagement.

@MrDanielBuck Given the widespread decline in formal grammar instruction and students’ reliance on informal digital communication, I would estimate that fewer than twenty percent of high school seniors could independently craft a grammatically correct compound-complex sentence.

If you gave a simple assignment to write one “grammatically correct compound-complex sentence,” what percentage of high school seniors do you think could accomplish that task without help let alone understand the prompt?

Every year, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring. They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died. France also gave us this land as American soil. #MemorialDayWeekend
