This drill creates an environment that stops hitters from spinning. The upper has to get past the lower and the barrel has to win the race. Long swings get exposed because you have to stay short to the ball in order to return it back and fire again.

Closed stance weighted balls This drill helps the hitter feel the chest staying over the plate and eliminates pulling off the baseball, cleaning up bat path and helping close the gap.

One of my favorite ways to train bat path is hard sliders running into the hitter. Can you take a pitch that's running hard inside and still stay through it? It is a key indicator of a clean bat path if you can stay through a pitch running hard inside.

Have a hitter that continues to miss underneath fastballs? Try the upshoot machine with foam balls, as this will force the hitter to be more direct with their bat path.
