@DennisF @gabsmashh Huh. I have had the completely opposite experience. Replaced my last Dyson about 2 years ago with another Dyson. Had the last one for 12 years. Both of them the purple ball vacuums. Just purchased replacement parts when needed.

@gabsmashh We’ve had three different models and none of them has lasted more than a year. They work great at first and then it’s all downhill.

What are the absolute best, over ear, noise cancelling, Bluetooth headphones? I get overwhelmed at times, when tired, at the airport, and noise cancellation improves the experience exponentially. Imagine I'm just cancelling noise, not listening. Recommendations? 🙏

@_sarahyo Been dealing with this myself. Get some Umcka chewable tablets for pain relief and to shorten your cold/flu symptoms, Oxymetazoline for runny nose/congestion, and do a lymphatic drainage routine daily to get and keep fluid out of your sinuses (because changing altitude sucks).

Still very sick with flu. Send me your cold/flu hacks, I’m supposed to be travelling to Europe on Sunday night and would really like to feel better by then 🥲

It is wild to me how many people who are considered to be smart in our industry don't understand the difference between efficient and fast and, moreover, will optimize for speed over efficiency. It's a fool's errand, and I see it come back to bite folks time and time again.

@MalwareJake Not just that either. This could happen for any number of reasons that have nothing to do with intelligence agencies, tbh. Foreign or domestic terrorism, corporate or political espionage or sabotage, psychosis, etc

I'm not disturbed at all by this. It comes down to a central question of "am I a target an intelligence agency is willing to use lethal force against?" If no, then this has no impact on you. If yes, update your will.

@PaulbernalUK I don't understand your point about this being of special import to tech professionals and the massive implications. Certainly this is a supply chain attack - but that is not a threat specific to tech and rigging things to explode by remote detonation is an age old tactic

@MalwareJake It's an IED (improvised explosive device), straight up. Terrorists have been using them for ages. What's cyber about it? People take something that is normally benign and turn it into something that goes boom. In Iraq and Afghanistan, it was often "garbage" on the road

Good evening everyone, I have a job-related update for you, finally. I have accepted a cybersecurity role in a county District Attorney's office doing exactly what I wanted to do and had set out to do after being laid off in May. If you recall I said I would be taking a step down the ladder as the demands of my former role did not give me the mental space to do the things I love in my spare time. I think I will be a lot happier with this new position and less stressed even though I have admitted in the past I think I was addicted to the stress. Palpatine and my ex female boss gave me a recommendation and for that (and a great many other things), I am in their debt. The DA and their team know my former bosses, very well, and are friendly with them. Now I can help to shape cybersecurity policy which will have a meaningful impact not only for my state but for a number of towns in the county where this is. I start Monday. I already have my lunch packed and my notepad and other items I think I'll need, including questions I have, ready to go. Time to get back to work defending the cyber frontier. I can't frickin wait!😊

@BentleyAudrey I apologize, I only read a page or so of the responses and those were mostly people talking about starch and texture. I figured you just didn't know. I generally try to give people the benefit of the doubt and hoped you would hear my feedback for what it was. Education & insight

@Ryen_Mac Did you read the responses? People were telling me that’s why I need to wash my rice, I had never heard of bugs and pebbles being in rice personally. But that is why I posted that.

@The_Home_Six I use the rice water for my plants! But yea it has a lot of other benefits 🤗
