Former child star Jennette McCurdy revealed that Nickelodeon offered her $300,000 to stay silent about her time at the network.
She refused.
Jennette became famous as a child actor, but later said the experience was deeply damaging.
In her memoir, she claimed a powerful man at Nickelodeon called “The Creator” forced her to drink alcohol when she was underage, gave her massages, and made her feel uncomfortable on set.
Jennette said the offer showed her how badly they wanted everything buried. She turned down the money and later told the story herself.
@feroxpx@mrdo91169006@TheHughAnthony He’s not wrong tho about the demand part. If they stopped hiring foreign workers they probably wouldn’t have enough delivery drivers. Pizza delivery man is not exactly a job people are flocking to…
@tax_birdie@bethanyshondark To be fair I’ve done that accidentally. Sometimes you’re wearing a mask indoors for so long you forget you’re wearing it and then walk out to your car still wearing it then get in the car and start driving without realizing you’re still wearing it haha
@natsinctrl Miami would probably be worse than LA, especially if you don’t speak Spanish and aren’t already heavily ingrained in Latin culture
Growing up in an affluent suburb of New England, I think you’d struggle in Miami both mentally and socially
