@rodneyote by the way, you should get a sense of what PIK 2 is built for by the fact that one of their development target is "Transit _adjacent_ Development", not Oriented. Simply _adjacent_ so property prices can go up more.

I went to PIK 2 using the new T31 route out of pure curiosity. Gonna chronicle some of my thoughts here

@rodneyote because Bintaro Jaya, BSD, etc design their townships with... humans and daily life in mind, PIK 2 is really built for entertainment and for people to hold property that they'll never live in. (exception for Tokyo Riverside, but they're cramming everything into the complex)

You could say that about any private suburban development on the outskirts of Jakarta. But even the usual players like Bintaro Jaya and BSD have been trying to build urban places that are more tastefully pulled off. More green spaces, more emphasis on active mobility.

I know it's Thursday and it's kinda scorching hot but it's unnerving how empty it all is. Not just the lack of people, but some of the shops just have no tenants in them. Also worth noting that most of these buildings are facades.

@rodneyote Never understood the hype around PIK. Car centric pro max, it's so hot, the buildings try too hard to look different in terms of architecture (ie they try to look European or whatever) Lmao
