The oldest Zoomers are 29. If Boomers at 29 had the same lifestyle Gen Z has now, they’d commit mass suicide.

@yashar Context, though - don’t think most gen’l aviation accidents are twin engine jets.

Another message to my followers who have a fear of flying.
Again, I know this doesn’t always help, but it helps sometimes so it’s worth a try.
You may have seen the news that a small aircraft crashed in Philadelphia.
Before you understandably think that this is part of a wave of crashes and ask, “What’s happening?” it’s worth noting that, in the aftermath of an event like the American Airlines crash, any mention of an aviation incident is going to receive heightened attention.
To put it into perspective, in 2022, there were 1,267 general aviation accidents in the United States, of which 224 were fatal.
These accidents resulted in 339 fatalities.
Is that something to celebrate? No. But the point is, this happens regularly in general aviation—you just don’t hear about it.
Also, general aviation in the United States, when considering the number of flights, is incredibly safe.
Not as safe as commercial travel, of course, but still very safe.
In 2022, there were approximately 17.6 million general aviation operations in the United States.
That’s 7.20 accidents per 100,000 operations and 1.93 fatalities per 100,000 operations.

@RpsAgainstTrump Not a small plane like what that term usually conveys. Jet loaded with fuel into a neighborhood. Can smell jet fuel miles away.
